Another sad, slow month for me.
I lost my best friend on June 2nd. Jessie passed in the late afternoon at the vet. She could no longer use her hind legs. It was heartbreaking to watch her slowly slip away. I was at work about 45 minutes away. Luckily, I have a fantastic boss who told me if I needed to go that, I should. And I darted out of there, flying down the highway to get to see her. She was breathing very heavily and flopping like a fish out of water. She wanted to move, and it was the hardest thing to watch. But she was miserable, and her gums had paled. She passed on her own with just the "relaxer" shot.
I've been in tears off and on all month, and it's prevented me from getting much done. First Grandpa, then Jessie. It's been rough. My mental health wasn't doing well either. I have had two doctor's appointments for my anxiety and depression. I have been acting confused about why it's been bad... but whose mental health wouldn't be a little shaky after losing family?
My goal is to get some editing done in July. It doesn't take as much as writing and plotting. I still want to get a book out to you this year! But it might not be plausible. We will see!!!
Hope to have a more significant upbeat blog post in July! I am going to see Big Time Rush (again!), so that's going to be the highlight!
