April Wrap-Up!

Welcome Back!

April was a quick but slow-paced month! I mean, I'm already typing the outline for this on April 15th...

There were some highlights this month!

Firstly, I met SPENCER SUTHERLAND?!?!?!?!?!

I have been looking forward to the show since November, and let me tell you... he did NOT disappoint!!

I have met my favorite musician (Kendall Schmidt from Big Time Rush) THREE TIMES and have never been nervous. But let me tell you, waiting in line to meet Spencer, I was starting to shake. And Spencer literally put the cherry on top when I walked in. His mouth flew open, he froze and went "WOW" like I was the freakin' sun or something. So, yeah, I got really nervous AFTER THAT (Thanks, Spencer). I thought something was wrong 🤣 but no, I just apparently looked nice.

I had the opportunity to give him a copy of Summer Love: New York City and tell him he was who inspired Spencer in the book. He seemed very grateful, kind, and SHOCKED. After saying it was the best gift he had ever been given (cue my heart shattering into a million pieces), I also got photos with him. I wanted to say more, but I could barely even look at him because I was so flustered. (Again, I've never been this nervous IN MY LIFE).

But he probably is one of my favorite people I have ever had the opportunity to meet (Kendall needs to step up his game, all I'm gonna say 😉🤣).

But after ALL OF THATTTTT, I had another monthly Zoom call with my beta readers! This time more of them showed up, and we discussed Summer Love: New York City again, as well as a special project that I am not quite ready yet to announce. I am really excited to see where this goes, and I have the next month's meeting scheduled as well! This group of people has been amazing, and I couldn't ask for a better small-knit group.

On a more personal note, my best friend had her baby shower on April 30th! I drove up to Michigan to be there with her and her amazing family. I was so happy to see her and be by her side. Now, is getting ready to welcome her little bundle of excitement in June.

This month I also had my first INTERNATIONAL SALE?! Someone in Spain bought Summer Love: New York City?!?!?! How cool is that?!

As always, I want to end this month's wrap-up with a huge thank you. Thank you to everyone who has read my books, is reading, is considering reading, and for supporting me. This dream is one I never thought would come true, but it's getting better each day. Keep an eye out for more news soon! <3
