My oh my...
May was an intense month.
It started out a lot of fun and slowly spiraled downward.
I went to a local library book sale on May 5th in the town I work in. I wound up getting eight books for $3.00!!
Can I complain? Absolutely not!
I went with all of my co-workers, and we had a great time!
That night I went out to dinner with one of my good friends, and we strolled through town sipping on coffee and taking a few candids.
I also ordered a few (MORE) new books that I cannot wait to read! I am currently reading Praise by Sara Cate and I'm surprised I am enjoying it as much as I am. I stopped reading around page 82 but read to 182 and had a hard time putting it down.
I managed to finish my next project, but that doesn't mean I get a vacation yet. I'm excited to start this next one, and I can't wait to get it going. I hope my beta readers are going to be as excited as myself.
We visited my grandpa May 13th, and he wasn't doing too well. It was hard, but I will never forget my last interaction with him. Standing in the hospital, rubbing his arm, and simply saying, "Hi, Grandpa." The smile that filled his face and the light in his eyes... I'm thankful that I got to have that moment. He passed May 24th with all of us nearby. I never thought it would hit me as hard as it did, but I'm thankful he's comfortable now.
